Casual photos are photographs taken where you want. In your home or at your favorite location (inside or outside), but using all of the professional equipment you would expect in a studio. Poses are usually a lot more natural and human-like than what we tend to see in fashion or portrait photography; there's a lot more freedom to this style of photography than many others.
